HELMET GUIDE
Choosing your next (or first) helmet can be quite daunting. It's easy to be overwhelmed by so many brands, shapes and colors. We've utilized our experience to put together an easy helmet guide to help you choose your next lid with ease.

How to measure your head
Use a cloth measuring tape and measure the circumference of your head. Try to keep the measuring tape about 1 cm above your ears and 2 cm above your brow.
If you don't have a cloth measuring tape, use a string and measure the string afterwards!
Measuring the circumference only gets you halfway. Your head shape is as important! Let's break that down below.
What head shape do I have?
Here are some tips on learning about your head shape from round - intermediate - oval
Do the roll test!
Lay on your back on a flat and hard surface. Now, rock your head from side to side. Does it roll smoothly? Then it's probably more round. Do you feel it wanting to roll over? Then it's probably more oval.
Try some helmets
Try a couple of helmets at a store, or from friends. If you find that a lot of them are very tight on your forehead, that indicates that your head is more oval than round.
Snug vs painful
A helmet should fit snugly on your head without being painful. The area around the cheeks will get more fitted to your head over time as the material is quite soft and thick. Focus on getting the fit right on the front and back of your head first.
Customization
Some helmets can be customized with removable cheek pads to make the helmet fit just right! Below are some examples you can find on our webshop.
Safety first
All helmets you find on our webshop are ECE rated by the European safety standards. In some countries (like Belgium for example) this is actually required by law.
Let's make it easy for you!
